Mixtape Monday Vol. XXI – “This, Should Be Played At:”

volume21

Mixtape Monday is live! This week’s mix is quick and to the point clocking in at 45 minutes, with some classic funk. I’ve been revisiting a lot of 90’s G Funk era hip hop of late, pulled up some of the main songs and bands they’d sampled. Musicians such as, Betty Davis, Rick James, George Clinton, Funkadelic, Parliament, Roy Ayers Ubiquity, Sly & The Family Stone, Sun Ra – and then we got some tracks by Kendrick Lamar and Warren G to tie the whole production together.

Keep your eyes peeled, we should have a new review coming up soon – now that Rihanna’s amazing “ANTI” has dropped.
Until then, Enjoy!
